Tree Trimming

We started off the last week of Advent with a tree trimming. The best part of waiting til the last week to put up a Christmas tree is that they are cheap!
One of my favorite Christmas memories is hanging ornaments, they each have a story and it is kind of  like looking through a photo album. They conjurer up found memories of the years and kind thoughts of the loving hands that made/picked out the perfect adornment for your tree.

One of my favorites ornaments in the one PT is hanging.
Each of the children received one of these stained glass ball from Grandma Driver on their first Christmas. The balls are perfect...not breakable and very intriguing.  Prefect for little tree trimmers!

Avery hanging one of our newest additions from Geegee and Papa.
We each got a glass star...Seeing five glass star in the box made my heart swell seeing how in just a few short Christmases our family has grown to a handful!

Hanging with care.

Paul Thomas was just like his Daddy when it comes to tree trimming, he had to survey the tree to find the perfect location for each ornament.

Philip was in charge of filling in the top!

Mary Colette took care of the bottom.

Sweetness

Finding these two snuggled in bed together is the sweetest thing.
Noticing that they are both sleeping in the same position confirms it. These two are so similar in disposition. She adores him and he her. In fact Mary Colette ranks #1 on the cuddle list.

Friday Photo Favorites

"Daddy, can I have an apple?  I know I am only 5 months old and have no teeth, but I really really want one!" Small shoulder shrug with fluttery eyelashes.

"Sure sweetheart! Whatever you want"

Works every time.

I will fit this apple into my mouth!

Finally!

I have wanted to post these for a while and I am finally get to it.
These were taken the first week we had our new place. We were not moved in yet because Philip and Dad were scraping off the popcorn ceiling that had been sprayed over with even heavier texture and just had to go. Philip re-did the ceilings with a nice, light, clean texture...but the mess they made was pretty incredible.

Can't wait for everyone to come and visit our new fire home (that is, the place where the fire fighters and fire trucks live)!
