Gammy and Poppy's Grandchildren
When in Amarillo earlier this month we tried to get a grandkids picture...we failed. Here are a few of what we did get.

Here are those adorable cousins of ours!

Paul Thomas would have nothing to do with pictures so I decided to go with just Avery.

Luci could not resist an accessible Avery.

Such cuties!

A Grand Finale

After the cake was eaten and the dishes cleaned the birthday crew headed to Heritage park to listen to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and watch fireworks. The perfect ending to any two year birthday party.

Jeremiah lead us through the world of music.

I didn't understand most of what he said either, it must have been the French accent.

They insisted on coordinating all day long.

It's kind of like Macbeth...A picture within a picture.

PT getting some much needed down time with Uncle Matty before he entertained us and the crowd with his interpretive dancing.

Uncle Tim enjoying himself at this grand affair.

We're ready for the next act...the fireworks. The fireworks were super impressive because the park is in the flight path for Love field, which means they have to be very low altitude. Our entire bodies and ears felt every repercussion.

Avery and his Daddy watching the fireworks. Avery enjoyed them, but needed the comfort or his blanket.

Paul Thomas watching with Aunt Mere-Mere. Shortly after this was taken he needed to be held very close by his Momma and taken further away from the fireworks.

Train ride, ink blot cake, the DSO and fireworks! Just wait til next year!

Birthday Cake

After the birthday train we all came back to celebrate with dinner and cake.

This is only my second attempt at a birthday cake...I figure I have many more to improve on.

Who doesn't like cake?

PT received a very special gift from his Gee Gee and Papa...a handmade book. This will help keep the distance down between our two families.
Thank you to all who celebrated with us. Near or far you all have enriched my little boy's life.

Two Year Old Express

On May 30 we celebrated Paul Thomas' second birthday. We had aunts, uncles, and cousins help us celebrate, along with the commuter train, the Trinity River Express. Here are some very belated pictures from our day.

Two of the quickest years wrapped up in this little boy.

Heading to the station.

Somebody tell those guys they have babies on the track!

We had to wake up PT to go to the train.

Here it comes!

Okay I'm here...

WhooHooo the excitement builds!

Daniel was not too sure if this was an age appropriate activity.

There she be! The TRE!

Aww come on Uncle Ash, it's not that bad... a bit anti-climatic if you are taller than 4ft.

Checking things out.

Luci and her Momma are too cute .

It took awhile for PT to warm up...after a few "ding-ding" sightings he was great.

Paparazzi #1

Paparazzi #2
Hey here are those cutie-pies from earlier.

Yes, Avery came along and was as happy as ever.

Look at the beautiful urban scenery.

The idea was to all pull the poppers at the same time and surprise the kids...Mere and Jen struggled with their strings, Peter and Jer are clueless and are striking great poses. Philip and Ash are wondering why Mere and Jen are having such difficulties (really its quite simple, girls). This picture is great...it was a lot like the train ride.

To the Father of our children...

I loved you to the fullest this day. My being was filled with profound joy, for I was marrying the one God intended for me.

Then I watched you become a father and I wept, for I did not know love like that before. My heart grew so as to embrace you not only as my husband, but as the father of our child.

I watched you become the father of our children and I was steadied. Your faith and leadership in it is the stronghold of our family.

I am better because of you. Thank you for stretching my heart.

Friday Photo Favorites

For all those who read our blog...sorry for the long delay in postings. We have been busy with family: Visiting Amarillo family and hosting Michigan family. Many more posts to come to keep everyone updated on our fun-filled adventures.
Here a few pictures from our last adventure in Amarillo.

These are taken from the car traveling at 70 mph.

Ahhh...why I love the panhandle...wide open spaces.

In honor of our eldest who was sleeping for the first nine trains.

Because it would never be a good post without some kid pics.

Isabelle and Avery having a good conversation.
