Hitting Four with Gusto!

This makes George's fourth birthday that I haven't blogged and well his first birthday was the stuff of legends. The four bigs and two cousins still talk about it and it really was that awesome...I really really want to share about it here at some point. We are doing pinatas this year for birthdays because George's legendary birthday was just that great and we slayed the dragon pinata and ever since everybody has wanted to slay something on their birthday so that's what we are doing-Slaying, slaying slaying. (Thus the swords!)

George!

Getting into the car in the evening we heard a train horn. George, "Momme a TRAIN!"

"You're right a train. I wonder where it is?" As it is too dark to see any train around.

"Probably on the tracks!"

(George decorating an oversized train cookie with his favorite color icing-geen!)

George is a little contrary as of late, when someone is hot, he is immediately cold, hungry-full, stairs- elevator. He even is somewhat contrary with his own observations. Driving along, "Oh Momme, I see a digger, but I don't."

He often ends statements like this-but I don't.

One thing he isn't contrary about is a compliment, if you tell him he is awesome he will squeeze your cheeks with his chubby little hands and say, "You're awesome-er." Or "I wove you too!" It's just the best.

He recently promoted himself to big boy status and when asked about The who's who in the Blaxton household he would respond with, "Well Daddy and me are big boys, PP and AA are boys and Momme and Cowette are big girls and Annie and Ewienor are babies!" However and one point I told Philip that the bigs where going to help out with a job while the littles stay back to do a preferable activity, George catching wind of this and seeing the delima up ahead soon found the perfect solution and declared himself "small" thus being able to jump from any family ranking realm. Now he frequently reminds me, "but Momme remember I small!"

WE'RE BACK!!!

We are back in our house after 11 weeks!
Rooms have been rearranged as the event left us with an enlarged classroom and no master closet. The classroom needs a new floor and paint and the best built in desk pinterest can come up with. Until that is all done school is happening back at the kitchen table/living room and new reading room.

It was great living in a hotel, truly it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Just think about how much laundry you do every day that is towels or sheets with a family of eight-now don't do it! That part was amazing. However we are so grateful to be home and now we can all sit down in the same room not to mention we can all eat at the same table-huge, that is huge guys!

We are trying to buckle down with school and really get a strong idea of a daily flow...George is wanted and is eager to find some school day time and is crazy how much he already know or at least gets really lucky with the answers. There is so much I want to post about, we will see how much will happen. We plan to school eight weeks on and two weeks off and my hope is to do that year round so that we can learn and investigate other areas of interest that might not fit into a regular curriculum. High hopes...maybe too high.

Thank you everyone for you prayers, advice and support. We are not close to being finished with insurance, however we are not home at it feels so good...it's all gravy from here on.
