Due to illness Avery's birthday celebration was postpuned until the Sunday after and since no one was feeling extremely festive, birthday boy included, it was a rather low key event.
Thank you to all who help make Avery's birthday so special even with all the sickness.
Yes, poor Avery had to make do with a store bought cake.
Avery recieved many great present and I am sorry that the "Thank yous" have not made their way to out yet.
The one that captivated Avery's and PT's attention for the most time was a card sent from Aunt Mere-Mere with a dump truck on the front.
Notice the clothing change. Because on his birthday Avery was still very sick he only openned one present and actually we strung the presents out for almost a week.
Avery recieved a Hallmark recordable books from his Geegee and Papa. I must admit that the comerical does not do them justice.
Right away Avery said "Papa" as he heard his voice and giggled when he heard Papa meow for the cat.
Paul Thomas thought is was magic as on the last page Geegee and Papa insert Avery's name to the last line.
This is truly a unquic and very tender way to keep the distance short between us.
And as Gia said, through some teary eyes, Geegee and Papa do have some of the best reading voices around.
Thank you to all who help make Avery's birthday so special even with all the sickness.
