Friday Photo Favorites

Two things that do not usually go together are Hot Air Balloons and the Texas Panhandle.
So when we heard of a Balloon Glow we along with half the town headed to the local park to witness this amazing feat.
The Glow was not quite as long as we thought so we slightly over pack with blankets and pjs and the like. It was however a very enjoyable evening that only pushed back bed time by half an hour...a win win in my mind!

Finding our place to watch.
See how prepared we were, made sure all the kids had comfy clothes on and blankets just in case they fell asleep on the way back.

Out of no where this great big Lady Bug rose up over the tree line.

Hitching a ride.

This was the debut of the Fireman balloon!

The Butterfly surprise us as well, rising up majestically and then almost flapping her wings to say hello.

We went around the lake to get a closer look...Mary Colette was so excited and was in a full run.

Closer look!
At this point Mary Colette was having a change of heart and had a death grip on Gia.

After our closer up with the Butterfly we headed over to see the Fireman. As we rounded the turn our enthusiasm was slightly deflated as our new found friend, the Fireman was completely deflated.

It was a very quick little glow, just enough for very enjoyable evening.

  1. The ladybug balloon is perfect after your last post of Avery and his little friend! How did you manage that? ;)

I love seeing Mary Colette run!
