Super Heros!

Heard over pitter-pattering down the hallway.

Paul Thomas, in a loud and confident voice, "Super Heroes to the rescue!"

Avery, in an equally loud and confident voice, "Yeah, maybe so!"

Pizza!

One of our favorite dinners is homemade pizza. We actually have become somewhat of pizza snobs and rarely tolerate any other kind. This last pizza night Paul Thomas was a big help and made his own personal pizza.
First he rolled out his dough and built up the toppings.

He arranged all his toppings with care.  Yes, three pieces of Canadian bacon surrounded by a ring of Italian sausage.

Cheesy Chef!

One more of the Cheesy Chef.

Into the oven to bake!

Now to reap the rewards of all the hard labor... except for all the meat which he picked off with as much care as he had arranged it.

Friday Photo Favorites

A few weekends ago we went to Dallas to celebrate the marriage of some dear friends.
I did not take many pictures. I gabbed most of the night instead.

Luci and her silly face.

This is PT's new silly face. He has been working on it for a while now.

Do you speak Avery?

Avery has graced us with his verbal skills for quite awhile now.
Here are three of my favorite Avery words.
Can you identify them?

Maybe PT can help you.
They are not in the same order.

Adapting

As all parents we are always adapting to new methods to promote good behavior.
Here is our latest approach.

It has proven effective on promoting stillness.

Thank you Uncle Matty for making me a real cowboy!

Our great find!

After Christmas both Philip and I caught a very nasty stomach bug which kept us in bed for awhile. Mom, understanding our need for rest and queit (as she had it a couple of days before), gathered up all that were well and headed to the Discovery Center.
Here is how their day went curtiousy of Gia's camera.

There was lots of building.

And scarf blowing.

There was some risky business.
Walking above the city.

And of course one would need to eat after all that.

Even pretend veggies are scoffed at.

Much better for my little carnivore.

Nana was the only one brave enough to challenge the bucking bronco.

"Should have been a cowboy..."

"Should've learned to rope.."

"and ride."

Now all you Texans are probably on to the next line of the song!

The Discovery Center was such a huge hit that we used some of the boys Christmas money for a year pass.
Big thanks to Grandma and Granddaddy and Grandpa Blaxton for this wonderful gift!
We go almost every week!
I must admit that I probably should have put my Christmas money towards the pass as I definetly get as much out of it as the boys.
They are bringing in new exhibits which we'll update you on soon!

Oh, this is were the kilascope mirror picture of Avery was taken.
