Word
Processors ought to be more tightly regulated. Powerful word processors too
easily fall into the hands of dangerous, ideologically biased authors who
destroy innocent minds.
Background
checks should be performed at the federal level at the time of the purchase of
any word processor, paper or web page.
There ought
to be an immediate ban on automatic word processors, high capacity, 11X17
sheets of paper and dissemination mechanisms, such as the internet.
Writers,
poets and pen pals do not need word processors to enjoy their hobby.
This is not
an attempt to deter, limit or otherwise infringe on anyone’s right to free
speech. I personally own many pens and pencils and a small collection of antique
quills.
The authors
of the 1st Amendment never intended citizens to own word processors
with spell check and immediate editing capabilities.
Of course,
federal and state agencies require the use of word processors for the effective
execution of their duties to protect and inform the public. Authorized journalists, who have proper
training and supervision over their use of word processors, are perfectly
capable of defending public minds from dangerous, ideological pieces that
are penned with illegal word processors.
...
I can't decide whether to bill this as satire or prophecy.
